Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This page explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you read techweed.net. We wrote it after checking what the site actually loads in a browser and what our server records.
What happens when you visit
- You can read every page without an account. We don’t sell your information.
- Our server keeps a basic record of each visit, including your IP address, for 14 days.
- We show ads from Google AdSense and measure visits with Google Analytics. Both use cookies, and you can turn off personalised ads.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site to keep it fast and safe.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
Who we are
Techweed is run by Rahul Jha and Pradeep Bommana, from India. For anything on this page, email [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you open a page
Our website runs on a server we rent from DigitalOcean, in New York, USA. Like almost every web server, it writes a short line for each request. That line holds your IP address, the date and time, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and your browser type. We use these logs to keep the site working and to spot attacks. They’re deleted automatically after 14 days.
Cloudflare
Every visit passes through Cloudflare, a network that speeds up websites and blocks attacks, and to deliver the page Cloudflare handles the same details our server sees. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It set no cookies when we checked on 22 October 2026.
If Cloudflare suspects a visitor is a bot, it can show a quick check and set a security cookie, such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. You can read more in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and how they found them. It uses cookies to tell visits apart. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (your city or country), and your device and browser. We don’t send Google your name or email address.
Google says it doesn’t log or store the IP addresses of visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland. It keeps Analytics data for the period set in our account, which is never more than 14 months. To stop Google Analytics in your browser, install Google’s opt-out add-on.
Google AdSense ads
We show ads from Google AdSense to pay for the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. Other ad companies that work through Google may also show ads here and use cookies. You can opt out of many of them at aboutads.info.
We don’t pick the individual ads you see, and we never learn who you are from them. Google explains its side in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Emails
If you email us, your message arrives in our Gmail inbox, which Google runs. We use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as we need them to help you. You can’t create an account on this site, and we don’t send newsletters.
The emails the website sends to our own team, such as security alerts, go through Resend, an email delivery service.
Comments
We don’t take comments on articles at the moment. The old version of the site did. We still keep the few comments that were published, along with the name, email address and IP address WordPress stored with each one. Email us if you’d like yours removed.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for readers. These are the cookies that Google and Cloudflare can set while you’re here. The lifetimes are the ones each company publishes.

- Stop Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can still read everything here without them.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
Techweed is written for people who run websites, and isn’t aimed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information about them.
Keeping it safe
The site only works over HTTPS, so anything sent between your browser and the site is encrypted. Only our team can sign in to the site or to the server, and the server accepts key-based logins only.
Changes to this page
When we change how the site handles information, we update this page and the date at the top. On 22 October 2026 we rewrote it from scratch for the rebuilt site. It replaces a 2017 version that described features we don’t have, such as shopping carts, contests and location tracking.
